El Cisne Basilica

The Parrish of El Cisne is located 70 kms. away from Loja. Here stands the Basilica. It was built in 1934 with a neo gothic style, it surprise the majesty of the construction.
Its name comes from the European tradition that began with the Order of the Knights of the Swan, which was building churches in honor of Virgin Mary on the top of the mountains. This is probably the most miraculous Madonna in the whole of Ecuador and North Peru.

At 09h00, meet and welcome at Hotel lobby, transfer to El Cisne County, visit of the Basilica and museum where artistic treasures are testimonials of the faith to our lady of El Cisne. A Wood Carved Image made by Diego de Robles in the late fifteen hundreds.


Lunch will be served in Catamayo, visit to the wax community to learn how local women work in Ceramics, making pots and dishes, etc. Transfer back to the city of Loja, Passengers will be derived to hotel. (Daily departures)
