Machai Holy pre – Inca Shrine.

Is a natural cave formed after a lava flow about 10.000 years ago. Since the beginning of times they used this cave as an approach to the heart of the main god heart. People bring different gifts in pilgrimage. The site is located at 4800 mt on Chimborazo.

Lord of the Rings Polylepis forest

On top of a hill in front of Chimborazo there is a rock formation where the most rare tree of the Andes remains. This is probably the highest forest on earth. The tree is also called 1000 papers tree.
