Gold Beads and Findings in Otavalo market
Very early in the morning our guide will pick you up from hotel to begin a day full of interesting opportunities of learning the secrets of our folklore and furthermore be able to accomplish purchases at very attractive prices. 

15 Km. north of Quito we reach Calderón, a small parish that keeps the tradition of honoring to the deceased by manufacturing  "guaguas de pan", they are colorful dolls made of bread bulk that are used as decorations, the smallest ones look beautiful at the Christmas tree.   The following stop is Guayllabamba, the “green valley" where we will be able to taste Chirimoyas.  After a photographic stop at the Equatorial line or half of the world, we will have the opportunity to palate the famous bizcochos in Cayambe directly from the oven.

We will have a photographic stop to admire the San Pablo Lake at the bottom of the "Taita Imbabura”, mythological father of the otavaleño communities.  We will continue up to the "Awakening valley" in Otavalo, 125 Km. north of Quito.  Their crafts market will captivate you with fine woolsacks, gold work, leather clothes, woodcarvings, straw hats, and jewelers, antiquities and other handcrafts produced in the different areas of the country.  It is even more interesting to visit the near Indian community of Peguche to learn, language and typical dress.

Luncheon will be served in the Hosteria of your election.  For the afternoon we will return to Quito crossing the cannon of Rio Pisque where we will be able to appreciate the geological formation of the Andes.
